Earrings, Coloring and Decluttering

We have some big news for Makayla. This morning we took out her diamond post earrings and put in her pink heart ones she picked from Claires the day she got her ears pierced!!! She is thrilled and really feels like a big girl now. See her showing them off? She did great this past 6 weeks with taking care of her ears and letting me clean them. I can't believe how big she has gotten. Pretty soon I am going to take her back to Claire's and let her pick out several more pair. Those 6 weeks flew by.




The girls have really been into coloring these past few days and they have done very well with not coloring on furniture or walls. So the other night I let them take the crayons into their room and this is what I caught. They were sharing a coloring book and both of them were coloring a different page. It was too cute and luckily my camera was nearby. (Please excuse their messy hair. It was right before bedtime.)

My VHS sorting went pretty well. I think in the end I kept about 22 and got rid of 20. So almost 50%. There were a lot that I wanted the kids to have like Home Alone 1 and 2. But at least I made a huge dent in the stacks. I still have the kids VHS left to do and that is NOT going to be easy. They have well over 50 movies on VHS alone. More than half they have never even watched(MIL sends them all the time). I am beginning to feel lighter already. I would really be feeling great if I could get all of that stuff off of my table but until we get my van back I can't take that stuff anywhere. But at least I know that it will be going soon.

We are starting to see some movement with our settlement finally. Hopefully by Monday we will know if they accepted what we asked for(which is thousands less than we could have gotten in court).
