I have been cleaning like crazy the past few days and one of the first places I tackled was the laundry room. It isn't very big but it is the only space in the apartment I have to hold cleaning supplies and other misc. but important stuff. Luckily the shelving unit I bought from Ikea a few years back fit PERFECTLY in the space providing me with a ton of storage space. Because this room is so small it gets cluttered and messy very easily.
Here is how I was able to make the most of the space.
The top row holds small appliances and a container of our flashlights and small candles.
2nd row holds all of our cleaning supplies and paper bags from stores that we keep.
3rd row holds our coffeemaker and a cloth basket of paper products. Ex. paper towels, paper plates and garbage/Ziploc bags.
4th row stores the kids step stools.
The last row is usually open but right now I have the box I stored our Fall stuff in under there.
Then I have both of our vacuum cleaners lined up against the wall along with our trashcan.
The black bags hanging are my cloth reusable shopping bags.
This is the shelf above my washer/dryer. Left to right: laundry detergent, kids lunchboxes and our tool box, wicker basket with pool floaties and then on the right is my stockpile of condiments from when I did the grocery game.
