3 day weekend recap

So far our weekend has been pretty full. On Saturday the girls and I went to Hobby Lobby while hubby finished painting the outside of the house. The girls got some new posters to color and had a blast being outside. They spent most of the day in dirt, rocks and grass.

Then on Sunday we went to my mom's house to visit everyone. We stayed the whole day and it was so much fun. My mom started teaching me to crochet and I know how to do all of the stitches already. I can't wait to really practice and eventually start a throw for the living room.

Last night I was in the kitchen and I realized that the reds and darker colors aren't making me happy anymore. When we lived in the apartment we had white cabinets so it was still bright even with my darker colors. Here the cabinets and counters and so dark that it just isn't working for me anymore. So... I am re-doing my kitchen. I already have my aunt on the hunt for the perfect kitchen curtain fabric and I am planning my next move. I am hoping to work on the house some more today since the kids are out from school and we are staying home all day today. So there will be lots of decorating things going on today. We have had the most gorgeous weather here this weekend. It has been wonderful. Hope all of you are enjoying a long 3 day weekend.
