Everyone knows I hate summer. I have never hidden that fact. I LOATHE summer. I hate the heat and the bugs. I hate it all! Now with that being said I must admit that I am very excited about summer this year. We have a covered deck that covers half of our backyard. It is peaceful and private back there. I keep imagining my children running around with strawberries and Popsicles in their hands as they are jumping in and out of their little pool.
I can imagine barbecues in the evenings with friends over. I can imagine not having to rush out the door to make it to school on time. Yes I am excited about summer this year. But it does no good to have a great time outdoors and then come inside and feel weighed down. So I am getting in gear and doing a ton of household projects that need to be finished. The only thing I might do this summer is paint some of our rooms. I still haven't decided if I want to do it or not but I already got permission from our landlord so maybe it will happen.
I will be sharing some more house stuff soon. Everything takes so long to do and then I get distracted with other things that need to be done. Bear with me. I will get to it all eventually.

Summer sucks... but the barbque sounds yummy!! :)
I don't like the bugs but I love the rest of the things about summer! Being outdoors and campfires and smores and getting dirty and not having to bundle up to go out and enjoy the day!
I wish summer wasn't so hot, but I love everything else about it. I always have enjoyed it, but just can't stand the heat. I bet this year it will be better for you and for the kiddos!!
