Completed so far

I've been posting a lot lately but that's ok. My mother-in-law is in critical condition in the ICU right now and taking time to do things I want to do really helps me take my mind off it for a while. Here are some pics of some of my completed projects.

My altered spice rack. I cleaned out all the old spices and turned it into an embellishment holder. Notice my stack of completed lo's under it. I even have 2 more already in albums. That brings me up to 9 in the past few days. :)
My corner shelf from IKEA. It was unstained/untreated and I finally decided what to do with it. A little paint, a lot of water and a foam brush gave it a wash finish. It hangs in the corner above our computer and it really finishes off the room.

Something really quick from today. I have been wanting to add some color to our plain olive green lamp but didn't know what to do to it. Well my girls have knocked it over so many times that it will not hold the lamp shade on straight anymore. To help with that problem I tied a navy ribbon around the part that broke for support. It helps it stand up straight again plus it adds the extra punch I have been wanting. It only took about 30 seconds too:)

Today I have really worked towards getting things done. I realized that technically this baby could be here any day now and I want to be prepared just in case. Highly unlikely I will go into labor ANY time soon but you never know right? Wasn't expecting a boy either so he may just be full of surprises.
