6 Happy Meals

Today was a great day. I decided to take the kids to the park so we went and picked up our friends. We stopped by McDonald's and picked up our food to take to the park. The kids had a blast. Little man even enjoyed the swing this time. His favorite part was all of the wood chips though. He thought they were delicious. Hehe.

We stayed at the park for over 2 hours. After we left we went to Wal- Mart and got there just in time for hubby's break. Pure coincidence. So hubby treated us to dinner together at McDonald's since it is in WM. Which means that the lucky kids got 2 happy meals today. Yes I know we are terrible parents. But hubby was so excited to treat them and do something special for them so I let him do it. We ate and then he had to get back to work but not before giving them $$ for the little car cart and enough for a toy for all of them to decide on. We came home with these.

All in all it was a great day except for the fact that once we got home tonight I realized that for the first time EVER I let my children get sunburned. I am going to cry myself to sleep over it tonight.

Well, I will have to admit there was at least one day where we ate out twice during the first trimester of this pregnancy!

I love all the pictures of your kids. They look so cute. I can see their faces starting to get red in some of the pictures, lol.
Isn't it crazy how you don't notice at all until you get home and then suddenly their cheeks look bright red? Especially when you're so used to colder weather!

We had fun today too!

The kids aren't all that sunburned that you should be upset about it. They had fun :)

Love you!

Looks like the kids had a wonderful day! Don't beat yourself up over the sunburn - I wouldn't even think to put on sunscreen this time of year. My guess is the memories of the fun new toy and 2 Happy Meals with stick with them a lot longer. You're a great mom!

But I bet they had a wonderful day even with the sunburns! My kids would be in heaven to have happy meals twice in one day! I wouldn't think to put sunscreen on in April either, so don't beat yourself up over it! It's amazing how fast kids bounce back from sunburns, much faster than us adults!
