Big news here!

Thursday night the boy was the only one here with us since the girls were at my mom and aunt's houses spending the night. So I figured it would be the perfect night to try to get him to sleep in his big boy bed. I was prepared for hours of putting him back in and singing to him hoping that eventually he would fall over and sleep on his bed.

Well I put him down about 9:30 since he had a late nap that day and hoped for the best. I turned off the lights, sang him a song and closed the door. About 10 minutes went by and I had not heard anything so I went to check on him. He was awake but still tucked in and when he saw me he giggled and I said goodnight one last time and closed the door. Not a sound left that room. 20 minutes later he was completely out.

I could not believe it. I realize now that it is his sisters that keep him up and running around. From now on he is going to be put down an hour or so before the girls. Then hopefully I can get the girls in bed and they will all go to sleep easier.

My favorite part about this picture are the Hot Wheels cars he fell asleep with in his hands. He is ALL about the Hot Wheels right now. When I took the pic the flash scared him and he accidentally threw them. I felt bad about that. The flash was just way too bright in there.

I can't believe my baby boy isn't really a baby anymore. I just want him to stay my little boy forever. But he is growing so quickly and I am so proud of him for the things he is learning and doing right now. It's a good thing I scrapbook so I can always look back and remember these days(and nights)!

Oh and if you missed my apt. slideshow it is in the previous post.

Cute! I'm so glad he's doing so well with it. I know what you mean about holding on to the baby phase- since Payson's my last I'm sure I'll baby him way too much.

I love the slideshow below. You've really got everything together. I can't wait to decorate my house- I can't believe I've survived with bare walls for a year!

I love how simple the kids' rooms are.
