Busy busy and seeing stars

This week we are crazy busy. I cancelled my physical therapy for this week because the girls are out of school for the entire week. The thought of all three of my children running around a physical therapy office while I am lying on my back doing stretches was not at all appealing.

Tomorrow afternoon I am going to pick up my best friend and her daughter for them to spend the night and just hang out. Then when I take her back on Wednesday evening we will pack up everything we need and head to the in-laws.

My mother-in-law wanted me to come and spend the night with her the night before Thanksgiving so I could get up at 5:00a.m with her and cook dinner. We will get up at 5:00 and I will cook with her until about 10:00. Then we will get ready and leave for my aunt's house to have dinner over there first. Then back to the in-laws later in the afternoon.

We alternate whose house we go to first each year and last year we ate at the in-laws first. Then we will eventually make it back home exhausted and stuffed. It is going to be a busy week for sure. After this week the real fun starts. I have made a dent in the shopping for the kids already. I got their "BIG" gifts and a few things already. The sad thing is I have already spent $230 and I am not even close to being done with the kids much less everyone else. *Sigh*

On a happy note.....The other day Lucy at Attic 24 posted a link to a twinkle star tutorial. I fell in love and immediately turned a few into garland. At this point I feel like a fairly confident crocheter. Enough so that when I see a pattern I want to try I can attempt it without my mom helping me through. I did the stars with no problems at all. I was doing a little happy jig.

I will probably be MIA for a while this week but I will continue to briefly pop in and post. Happy Thanksgiving week everyone!!
