More info

Sheri had some really good points and ????'s so I am going to provide a little more info real quick this morning. We found out more about the job last night. They do have workman's comp. for DH. Basically it has risks but not overly concerning.

Gas- He drives 45 minutes to work one way right now so it would just be a little more of a stretch for us. Plus hubby says it isn't that far of a drive. Maybe an hour. Or so he says at least. He has a friend that lives out there.

Insurance- Thankfully our pediatrician has MANY options for VERY affordable coverage for kids. We could get away with all 3 kids completely covered for way less than $300 a month. Probably less than $200 actually. Hubby and I have not had insurance on ourselves in five years. Well except when I was pregnant. (Medicaid) We will not qualify for anything with this job( I don't think we qualify with his current job but mine doesn't run out until 3 months after the baby is born anyways.) Insurance isn't a big deal to us because we very rarely get sick. I know accidents happen and everything but right now it isn't a HUGE priority for all 5 of us to have it as long as our kids are covered.

There it is in a nutshell. We talked a LONG time last night and we talked to my father-in-law because he used to work in the same vicinity that DH would be working and he knows the companies.etc. Basically he said it is good either way we decide. So now we just have to think about it some more. Why can't decisions like this be easy? Thanks for the opinions Sheri. Anyone else out there?

ok, now that you put it that way--
*if he's already (almost) driving that far
*the ins is that cheap
*he'd be covered if he got hurt and it's not *that* dangerous

i'd say.... GO FOR IT.
