Adventure weekend

Saturday was a very interesting day. I went to pick up a few things at Wal-Mart and when I came home Macie(my 3 yr. old) came running up to see me. I looked down at her and saw her hands and the left side of her face covered in blood. I screamed and hubby started freaking out. We couldn't find anywhere on her that was hurt. Then we checked the back of her head. She had blood matted in her hair all over. We cleaned her up as best we could and I sped like a bat out of hell to the ER. She wasn't acting any differently so I knew it wasn't as bad as it could be but we were taking no chances whatsoever. We get there and the nurse says it is good that she didn't black out or vomit. They finally get her back there and she sees the doc. Apparently she fell off of her plastic toybox while playing but she didn't make a sound. Nothing. So hubby didn't know she had gotten hurt.

Thankfully the ER doc said it looked much worse than it really was. That head wounds always bleed like crazy and that she didn't need a stitch unless I was worried about scarring. Since it is in the back of her head and she has hair we didn't worry about it. I checked on her several times throughout the night and she is just fine. Her wound is healing nicely. My poor baby. She did get a Happy Meal out of me though on our way home from the ER. Talk about random moments. We explained to her that she has to tell us if she even gets hurt a little bit. She is always on the go and she is pretty clumsy. I have seen her trip and fall into a wall and keep right on going laughing and playing. She is a tough girl. I am so beyond thankful that she is perfectly fine.

That is pretty much how our weekend went. After that we just layed low for the rest of the weekend. I swear I aged 10 years during our trip to the ER. Hopefully today will be a good calm day at home. I need to catch up on laundry and stuff. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
