I have been steadily working on the house the past few days and I am almost done with the kids room. I just want to get to the point where I can spend my evenings doing stuff I love rather than going through tons of boxes.
When we were out of town this past weekend we went to a little resale shop. I found this adorable wooden bench there for $25. I had been needing something to go right behind our front door to hold shoes and backpacks,etc. So I bought it and then picked up some white paint. I spent last night painting it and I am happy with how it turned out. It is really cute and the kids even love it.

I have gotten to a point where I am overwhelmed once the kids go to bed. I think I need to come up with a system. There are 3 things that I want to spend my free time doing at night. They are scrapbooking, crocheting and going to the gym. I have to make time for these 3 things and in return I will be a much more relaxed mama. I just need to sit down and make a weekly plan to squeeze everything in. This will be much easier once the house is all done and I can keep up with daily stuff during the day instead of after the kids go to bed.
Tomorrow I MIGHT be able to share the kids room but I am not sure if it will all be done. It has been quite busy here. The weekend will be here before we know it though. Yeah for weekends!!

You have been so busy! Definitely work in some "me" time. Always a good thing. :) Love the bench. It's so cute and looks fresh & crisp in the new white.
